Welcome to the ethanol-free gas website for the Chattanooga area. It locates numerous no-ethanol service stations and fuel outlets.
For now, supplies of clean gasoline are easy to find. Gas station owners and suppliers have an economic incentive to avoid the costly Uncle Sam-inspired additive since prices have fallen. The number of stations that have joined the ethanol-free crowd have outpaced the capacity of ethanolfreechatt.com to count them.

I started this site as a student public service project in mid-2008 when the commodities bubble pushed oil prices toward $150 a barrel and pump prices to nearly $4 a gallon. Until the price situation turns against consumers once again, the need for this site will remain limited. But when gasoline middlemen and station owners start feeling pressure again to pour ethanol in the gasoline, be certain that your choices will shrivel. That will be the time to check back here. If I’m not too caught up with classes and other projects, I can keep the site updated.

Some of the stations noted here hung on through the spike, offering us our fuel choice. With a certain admirable stubbornness, they offered the ethanol-free option though it reduced their profits. It wouldn’t hurt to support these entrepreneurs.
